Prioritizing Work-Life Balance

At Grappetite we believe in more than just developing exceptional apps; we prioritize the well-being and happiness of our team members. That's why we have made a conscious decision not to work on weekends or do overtime on a regular basis.

In Pakistan many companies have clients in the West, which often leads to many employees working night shifts, due to the time zone difference. This leads to many households in Pakistan having a family member or more working during the evenings and night and often miss out on family time and events.  

Family values lie at the core of our company ethos. We understand the importance of spending quality time with loved ones, nurturing relationships, and creating lasting memories. By not encroaching on weekends and overtime, we ensure that our team members have the opportunity to recharge, reconnect with their families, pursue hobbies, and simply enjoy life outside of work. We firmly believe that a happy and fulfilled personal life directly contributes to a more productive and engaged workforce.

Moreover, we recognize that overworking can lead to burnout and negatively impact both mental and physical health. By prioritizing regular working hours and respecting personal time, we foster a culture of well-being where our employees can thrive professionally and personally. We firmly believe that a healthy work-life balance is not just a perk but a fundamental right that enables our team members to lead fulfilling lives beyond the confines of the office.

On the client side, we only work with businesses that understand our way of working.  After all, they don’t work nights either, and for the same reasons Grappetite doesn’t.  What we can offer is a clear means of communication, we train our employees to ask good questions, get clarity, and make sure we don’t have to have messages going back and forth.  We schedule meetings at the end of our day/start of the Western client and our clients love waking up to fixed bugs, new features, and progress on their projects.
