Amazon’s Fire Phone is there. And your existing apps will work on it.

Today Amazon joined Apple, Samsung and Google in an attempt to get their share in the mobile industry. And although the hardware of the phone looks great the thing that strikes me most is the integration of services such as 24/7 virtual assistance by a real person (hey, they had their customer support centers already in place) and unlimited cloud storage (hey, S3 cloud hosting is theirs).

We had to wait for a long time for Amazon to reveal their phone, the first rumours date back to 2012, not sure why it has taken that long. The good news for you as a marketeer or business owner is that the phone uses an adapted version of the Android operating system. In other words: your existing Android apps should work on the Fire Phone too.
