Economic Benefits
- 3G will modernize companies’ workflows and allow more to be done by staff remotely.
- Developing applications for the local market will become more feasible as usability through the internet is possible.
- The sale of the 3G/4G licenses has already garnered $1.12 billion.
When we recently interviewed Mr. Irfan Wahab Khan, Chief Marketing Officer of Telenor Pakistan, said:
“World over 3G services have resulted in the introduction of 3G devices at an accelerated rate. We feel the same will happen in Pakistan, as category education will be the prime objective of telecoms. The demand for 3G capable devices will go up resulting in the introduction of cheaper 3G variants due to competition within the phone manufacturers."
We hope that 3G would bring us more and more benefits as it is rolled out in the coming months.
